The not-for-profit Aedes drives the discourse on space-making in changing political, economic and cultural contexts, collaborating with international ministries, embassies, foundations, municipalities, research institutes and civil society organisations.

AEDES INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERS: THINKING THE FUTURE

Collaborate with Aedes

Aedes partners engage directly with cutting-edge topics at the intersection of the built environment, society and politics. Fostering transdisciplinary exchange and dialogue, Aedes’ public platform encourages collaboration across perspectives and forges new alliances. Aedes prioritises communication between stakeholders, experts and communities, initiating collaborative processes to address the critical challenges of today and anticipate the needs of tomorrow.

Aedes’ Expertise

Strengthening participation and social cohesion: Aedes raises public awareness of the political, economic, social and ecological impacts of spatial planning through open discussion events, collective knowledge transfer and exchange.

Promoting integrative approaches: Aedes connects sectors and disciplines that are insufficiently networked, collaborating with civil society, governance and industry across planning, design and construction.

Sharing knowledge: Aedes documents outcomes and ideas in a comprehensive, freely accessible video archive and captures them in a series of publications.

Aedes is a remarkable future seismograph at the interface of the built environment, society and politics, in whose formats ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS has repeatedly and successfully participated. The workshops that Aedes regularly contributes to our international leadership programme as part of the Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance have been and continue to be a great inspiration for everyone involved.
