Introduction

This is the second Museum Dialogue celebrating the exhibition Opening Lines: Sketchbooks of Ten Modern Architects at the Tchoban Foundation Museum for Architectural Drawing. The first event took place on the occasion of the opening and featured architects Nigel Coates and Níall McLaughlin in conversation about their sketchbook practices.

This time, architect Tony Fretton spoke about the sketchbook practice of Alvaro Siza, and architect and architectural researcher Riet Eeckhout discussed her exploration of Tony Fretton’s sketchbooks, followed by a chaired debate.
