Future Urbanscape: Berlin’s Kulturforum

The students employ methods of urban analysis through film and undertake open urban design responses to the wider area of the Kulturforum to explore initial approaches to the design of the planned museum building.

Task
The UDP is returning to ANCB with its 4th design studio, this time focussing on the Kulturforum and the planned new Museum der Moderne, and exchanging with the University of Melbourne and University of Technology, Sydney. In three subgroups, the UDP students will: employ their method of urban analysis through film (developed over the previous years); undertake an open urban design response to the wider area of the Kulturforum; and explore initial approaches to the design of the planned museum building.
