Introduction
In order to promote the exchange of experience and cultural knowledge, the Premio Berlino award was founded to encourage the internationalisation and mobility of Italian architecture professionals. Since 2017, the Premio Berlino has offered two young Italian architects in each cycle the opportunity to spend six months in Berlin to deepen their professional knowledge on topics related to reuse and urban renewal. Premio Berlino is promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, by the Directorate-General for the Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin.
