Introduction
The three-part Lab Talk series SPACES AND SPECIES fosters interdisciplinary collaboration on biodiversity in the built environment. Together, participants develop essential strategies to preserve biological diversity in urban spaces and build lasting alliances.
The third Lab Talk focuses on non-human perceptions and needs. Cities are the shared habitat of humans, animals and plants – How can the built environment offer better living conditions for all species? How can private investors and planners be encouraged to adopt this perspective in long-term strategies? What decision-making frameworks can ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of biodiversity, and how can it be meaningfully incorporated into the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) agenda?
