Introduction
Since his landmark design for the America Memorial Library (Amerika-Gedenkbibliothek) in Berlin, Steven Holl has emerged as one of today’s most influential architects. Beyond his remarkable cultural and public buildings, the American architect has produced over 50,000 sketches and drawings throughout his career. The exhibition Steven Holl – Drawing as Thought at the Tchoban Foundation Museum for Architectural Drawing presents a selection of his extraordinary graphic body of work.
The conversation between Steven Holl and Sergei Tchoban, founder of the Tchoban Foundation, moderated by architect and scholar Diana Carta, will be followed by the opening ceremony. Guests will then visit the exhibition at the Museum for Architectural Drawing, located just across the courtyard from Aedes, before returning to Aedes for the reception.
