Date: Thursday, 9 March 2023,

Time: 6.30pm

Introduction

The lecture is part of Zaganelli’s research project entitled THE ARTIST FOR THE COLLECTIVITY realised in partnership with cultural institutions and universities from Italy, Germany, Japan and Thailand. Why are collaborations with territories, companies, schools and institutions, today more than ever, fundamental to define new paradigms of exchange and sharing, between art, society and active citizenship? Is it possible to define a social role for the artist? Is it conceivable to analyse their capacity to generate added value? Is it relevant to quantify the role of the artist in catalysing resources and interests from outside the art sector, thus helping the community to work for a common interest?
