Taksim, Tahrir, Occupy & Co. #2 Visuality and Urban Space
The Lab Talk concentrates on the visualisation of urban spaces during civil resistance incidents and protests. The digital sharing of these visuals on social media ‘virtualises’ and instantly ‘internationalises’ these spaces, facilitating the immediate production and transportation of news and laying the ground for interaction among protesters and between protesters and non-protesters.

Little Utopias in Big Spaces
Using creative mapping methods in fieldwork in and around Berlin’s Kulturforum, this design studio investigates how big urban spaces, buildings and monuments can exercise power, impose behaviours and narratives, and in some instances, also alienate the human. Framing City
Students continue to explore the Framing City methodology evolved in previous studios here. Sequences of methods will transfer the observations and impressions of the students about Berlin from mapping through to interventions. The Kulturforum is the focus of this year’s studio. Perception in Architecture. Here and Now

Politics, Public Space and the Arts: Strategies of Knowledge Production
Using Berlin and Jerusalem as examples, the workshop investigates the public spaces of the city, while critically analysing and devising artistic and architectural strategies for knowledge production and subsequently applying them to the city, with a focus on strategies that explore the public space and do not stop short of intervening.
