There is a tendency in Germany and Australia for museums to transform the cultural context, and both countries face a need for strategies to address ownership as well as social and cultural integration in the city and the peripheries. The two-day symposium enabled a broad dialogue to include cultural experts, city planners, architects, artists and curators.
